Triabunna is located on Spring Bay North of Orford. Formerly a Home Base town for the Convict Colony on Maria Island. It became a whaling base and the economy is now centred around woodchipping. Scallop & abalone fishing industries are also stable in the area.
There are tours of the woodchip plant available, local beaches are good for swimming, fishing and water skiing. Triabunna also has a youth hostel for backpackers.
