Roseberry - Tasmania
"...Roseberry is one of the larger towns on Tasmania's West Coast. Mining is the areas largest industry..."
Rosebery is a small town with a population of around 1600. Although a small town, it is one of the larger towns on Tasmania's West Coast. While Gold, lead and zinc mining were once responsible for Rosebery's growth, only the zinc mine remains. The mine is open for public viewing and sends its zinc to Hobart for processing.
Lake Rosebery, Lake MacKintosh and Lake Murchison all provide good trout fishing. Several Fishing Tours depart from the area. South of Rosebery are the Montezuma Falls, the state's tallest at 104m.
