Mt. Field National Park - Tasmania
"...Mt. Field National Park approx. an hours drive past New Norfolk out of Hobart..."
The Mt. Field National Park is roughly an hour's drive past New Norfolk on the way out of Hobart. Junee Falls, Marriotts Falls and Russell Falls, which is the most popular, are three waterfalls close to the park entrance.
The park is one of the main habitats of the Tasmanian Devil. Many Eucalypt trees in the park are over 400 years old, 90 metres high and close to 20 metres around the base. It is snow covered for approximately four months of each year, and chains will be usually be needed during this period.
