Kingborough is a growing municipality in the south of Hobart. Kingston is the main town in the area. It is the largest population centre south of Hobart.
Some other towns in the area include Margate, Snug, Kettering and Woodbridge. Across the channel, one of the major attractions is Bruny Island.
Near Snug is the Snug Falls State Recreation Area. This gully has several waterfalls which are popular with both locals and visitors alike.
Located at Woodbridge is the Geebin Vineyard, and the Marine Discovery Centre, a popular stop for school classes.
Kettering is the mainland terminal for the ferry to Bruny Island, and home to the Herons Rise Vineyard.
Overall a popular location in the South Hobart region.
