Huon Valley - Tasmania
"...The Huon Valley is the 'Apple Capital' of Tasmania. 'Huonville' is the largest township in the region..."
The Huon Valley is situated along the banks of the Huon River in southern part of the state. The majority of apples in Tasmania are produced in the Huon region. Roadside stalls with local produce are common in thearea.
The Huon Valley also serves as a gateway to the Hartz Mountains National Park. You can get there via the turnoff at Geeveston. Slightly to the west of the river is Port Cygnet, the town of Cygnet is the centre of the local berry production.
