Hamilton is a tiny little town with a population of around 150. It is a beautiful town in Tasmania's Derwent Valley along Clyde River. Many of the buildings are historic.
Glen Clyde House was built around 1840 and was originally an inn where those on journeys through the valley could stop to change horses. It is now one of the largest craft shops and galleries. It sells everything from pottery to woodwork, pewter, gold and silver products.
Popular in the area is Old McDonalds Farm, a children's adventure farm with a nice walk. Meadowbank Lake is a popular water skiing and fishing spot. Meadowbank Vineyard is also a popular spot close by.
