The Derwent Valley is situated north of Hobart. The largest town in the Derwent Valley is New Norfolk, a beautiful relaxing area which offers plenty of activities.
Further upriver is Hamilton, with vineyards and nature reserves. Also in the Derwent Valley area is Mt. Field National Park, which has amazing waterfalls and skifields.
