Battery Point is Hobart's most historic suburb. It is located a short walk from Salamanca Place. Battery Point resembles the character of a Cornish fishing village of the last century.
Arthurs Circus is a ring of old cottages surrounding the old village green at the centre of Battery Point. The area has several tearooms and restaurants, fine antique shops and plenty of pubs. The Tasmanian Maritime Museum situated at Battery Point. St. George's Anglican Church which was built around 1836.
