Arthur River is situated at the northern end of Western Tasmania. It is a tiny fishing area which is situated on the mouth of the "Arthur river". The Arthur and Franklan Rivers offer great fishing with trout and salmon prolific in the area. You can also try a river cruise which is also available.
The Arthur Pieman Protected Area is a 97,000 ha. wilderness park with extensive beaches and surf.
Much of the Arthur River area is not accessible by car. Several reserves, walks and scenic areas are in the area.
